Pattaya to Hua Hin Ferry to start service in the new year

Pattaya to Hua Hin ferry route

The planned Pattaya to Hua Hin ferry service is to begin operations on the 1st of January 2017. The service will be run by Royal Passenger Liner Co. The new ferry route is set to cut the travel time down between Pattaya and Hua Hin by two thirds which is a great time saving over the road trip which currently takes around 5-6 hours. The ferry service is planned to take around 1.5 to 2 hours to cover the 113 km trip.

For those with onward holiday plans in Hua Hin this is great news, It is also good for those who want an escape from the city of Pattaya for a night or two to the more relaxed beach side town of Hua Hin.

The service is planned to start with one 150 passenger capacity ferry and a further larger vessel will be added later of 260 passenger capacity. There are possible plans to introduce a car ferry service following feasibility studies.

The boats are not equipped to take cars, but if the pedestrian service is successful this may be introduced later.
