If you are holidaying in Pattaya then at some point it is well worth making your way up to the viewpoint at Phratamnak Hill. The viewpoint here affords some great views of Pattaya Bay, the city of Pattaya and some of the islands off the coast. At the top there is a little coffee shop run from an old VW Camper Van and a few seats are provided which makes this a real nice spot to enjoy a hot or iced coffee while enjoying the view, its elevated position usually means it gets a good sea breeze making the temperature bearable even on a hot day. As you arrive at the top of the hill by road there is a small viewing area which affords some great views over Pattaya bay and the city of Pattaya but if you walk through the naval compound here you will come to a larger viewing platform which gives some great views out to sea and over to the island of Koh Larn. The view is great at night too, once the sun goes down and the city lights go on it is great to look down over this lively city.
How to get to Phratamnak Hill
A road runs all the way to the viewpoint at the top and there is a parking area for both cars and motorbikes. Turn off the main Phratamnak Road into Ratchawaroon, turn immediately into the soi heading up the hill (be careful as there are two roads here one for going up and the other for coming down) Best see the map below:
